Plastic free products I love
There are so many quality plastic free products on the market today. I try to incorporate as many into my repertoire without breaking my budget. Some are more expensive than others, I try to find ways to justify spending a little more here and using less there to make a plastic free life possible.
Here are a few companies that are on this wavelength.
Bite Toothpaste Bits. One of my absolute favs! Not only do they have great tasting toothpaste, they sell wood toothbrushes and make a deodorant stick that smells like you’re wandering through an Italian orange grove. It comes in a cardboard dispenser that you can load into a cute reusable metal holder. Save with monthly subscriptions!! There products arrive in cardboard and paper without an ounce of plastic! Thanks Bites
Dropps. Dropps makes laundry detergent pods that work and smell great. Mild enough to bathe in and effective enough to get your clothes clean. Their lavender eucalyptus scent is my go to! I love their oxypods as well for cleaning the house, I usually add a little essential oil of lemon or wild orange to the water and scrub away. They have loads of new products I haven’t tried yet but looks like they’re using refillable glass bottles with metal pumps, very cool.
Hairstory. A hair wash that untangles our long hair and keeps it looking bed head perfect for days. The product is kind of expensive but I find my hair doesn’t need to be washed as often so…I begrudgingly add their subscription to my repertoire. It comes with a metal bottle to refill. The refills come in a minimal, thin walled plastic bag. I also like their Undressed styling product, it unfortunately comes in a plastic bottle so I’ve only purchased it once. So not entirely plastic free but we have a leach field on our property and I appreciate the lack of harsh chemicals and detergents in their products which will eventually make it into our leach field and the surrounding land on our property.
